The first four recipients of Skin, Bones, Hearts & Private Parts’ new Scholarship Award program will be announced on May 21. More than 1,500 applicants vied for the four $500 awards, which was established in November 2025 to support any undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a nurse practitioner (NP), physician assistant (PA), or registered nurse (RN) program at an accredited university in the U.S.
Since 2011, Skin, Bones, Hearts & Private Parts has provided CME to nearly 24,000 NPs, PAs, RNs, and physicians, with a focus on cardiology, obesity, emergency medicine, diabetes, dermatology, orthopedics, prescribing/pain management, and men and women’s health. Applicants for the scholarship were asked to talk about their motivation for pursuing higher education and how the scholarship will help them, leading to a very difficult task of selecting just four winners!
“We designed this scholarship program to support adult learners,” said Skin, Bones, Hearts & Private Parts CEO Chuck Dillehay, “and we are humbled by the vast number of outstanding students who applied. We recognize that becoming a healthcare provider requires years of rigorous study and significant financial investment, and we are pleased to award $2,000 in scholarships to help defray the cost of tuition, books, and program fees.”
Missed this year’s deadline? Watch for our 2027 Scholarship season next spring! Applications will open this fall and will close in mid-April, with next year’s recipients announced in May 2027.
