CME Conference in Orlando, FL

Highlights from the 2025 Orlando July CME Conference

Sunny skies, palm trees, and a room full of passionate healthcare providers—our Skin, Bones, Hearts & Private Parts CME Conference in Orlando, FL was one for the books. Engaging lectures, lively discussions, and practical takeaways filled the July event, giving NPs, PAs, RNs, and physicians tools they could use immediately in clinic.

Let’s take a look at some of the biggest highlights from the week:

Dermatology CME with Maggie McKernan, DMSc, PA-C

Maggie brought energy, expertise, and plenty of fun to her dermatology sessions. Attendees gained new tools for handling common skin complaints—from managing chronic itch to sharing anti-aging recommendations that patients actually want to hear.

One of the biggest hits? A Kahoot! game that turned learning into competition. Plushies were up for grabs, and the audience loved every second. More importantly, they left with renewed confidence to address the wide variety of skin concerns that walk through their doors every day.

Cardiology CME with Viet Le, DMSc, PA-C, FACC, FAHA, HF-Cert

Cardiology is always a crowd favorite, and Viet Le delivered big. His sessions sparked thoughtful questions and conversations about the realities of patient care. A few highlights included:

  • Statin hesitancy: Show patients the “why”—statins don’t just lower LDL, they stabilize plaque and reduce inflammation.
  • Young patients with high LDL: For ages 20–39 with LDL >190, statins are strongly recommended after lifestyle changes.
  • Anticoagulation therapy: In certain cases, aspirin can be discontinued in patients on apixaban (Eliquis), aligning with 2023 guidelines.

He also reinforced critical reminders: start guideline-directed therapies early, continue treatment after ejection fraction recovery, and never underestimate the impact of aggressive lipid management.

As Viet summed it up best:

“My hope at each conference is that the cases and information I present help clinicians the very next day they return to clinic.”

Orthopedics CME with Travis Randolph, PA-C, ATC

If you thought ortho lectures were all slides and diagrams—think again. Travis walked the audience through musculoskeletal care from toes to cervical spine, even performing a live physical exam on an attendee with shoulder pain.

The room buzzed with engagement as participants asked questions, guided the discussion, and shared experiences from their own practices. While Orlando is known for its “famous mouse,” Travis reminded everyone that the real magic was in the hands-on, practical learning.

Women’s Health CME with Nisha McKenzie, PA-C, CSC, MSCP, IF

Nisha’s sessions proved just how much the audience shapes the learning experience. Known for her warm and interactive style, she guided discussions toward the topics attendees cared about most.

As CEO & Founder of Women’s+ Health Collective, Nisha emphasized patient-centered care, safe spaces, and real-world solutions providers can use immediately. Her sessions left attendees feeling not only more informed but also more empowered to bring compassionate, inclusive care into their practices.
